i was born in 1977 in bamberg (germany) and grew up in bolzano (south tyrol, italy). after finishing the handelsoberschule heinrich-kunter  school in bolzano i came back to germany in 1996 to study computer science at the friedrich-alexander universität erlangen/nürnberg  with the main subjects operating systems, database systems and communication systems. i completed the study in mai 2001 and started working as software developer in munich for jentro  in june 2001. here are some of the projects i was/am working on:

• jentropilot: software for system monitoring (developed in java and partly c, target platforms were x86, mips, sparc with linux, sun and windows operating systems)
• daypath: telematic project with sun microsystems  (developed with java j2me personal profile/midp and partly c, target platform was a strongarm running a linux operating system)
• kickjet : project for building a motorbike with jet propulsion with sun microsystems  (developed with personal java and c, target platform was a strongarm running a linux operating system and a strange kind of pda with symbian was used for displaying the telemetry data).
• offboard/hybrid-navigation: project with bmw  (developed with java j2se, osgi, target platform was a x86 system with windows operating system)
• activepilot : offboard navigation system running on cellular phones (developed with java j2me midp using different technologies like jsr-82  (bluetooth api), jsr-135  (mobile media api), jsr-75  (file api), jsr-179  (location api), jsr-184  (3d api), java j2ee in backend).
  activepilot currently supports many nokia, sonyericsson, motorola, siemens/benq and samsung mobile phones.

• ö-navi : ad sponsored offboard navigation system for DasÖrtliche
• MyMobileSatNav : offboard navigation system for MyMobileSatNav
• Local Search: aggregation of various local search providers (e.g. DasÖrtliche, Google) (developed with java j2se, j2ee, java servlets, spring, jpa)
